Courses in silver ring making and chain making are being held in Tisbury and Bath.
Silver Ring Making Courses:

Silver Ring Workshops - Make a ring in a day!
These workshops will teach you how to make either a silver ring. You will be able to make a silver ring in just one day! You can see a sample of the type of ring that you'll make, on the right hand side of the ‘Contact Us’ page of this site.
During the course, you will be shown how to work out the size, you'll cut out the piece of silver, form the piece into a ring shape, solder - file and polish.
The day costs £59.00 including materials. Class sizes are restricted to 4 people maximum, so you will get lots of personal attention!
The course runs from 10.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. (approx).
Chain Making Workshops
We don't have the dates for these courses yet, but they will be coming soon. On the course, I'll show you how to make hammered links to form either a bracelet, earrings or a necklace. You can choose different sizes and shapes of links, and if you choose to make a necklace (to save time and cost) you can use a combination of ready-made chain and your lovely hammered links. You can choose from a variety of different styles and wire thicknesses, which all give a different look and feel to your piece. You'll leave with a lovely and original piece of jewellery you've made yourself.
The cost is £49 per day per person plus a charge for materials (this depends on your design). As a rough guide, if you make a bracelet with 1.5mm round wire, the materials would cost about £25 maximum. The course will start at 10.30 and finish at 3pm.

Booking
Booking workshops in advance is essential. If you would like to book a place you will be asked to pay a deposit of £30, with the balance due on the day. If you decide to cancel with more than 14 days notice (to the course date) you'll not need to pay the balance but the deposit will not be returnable. Deposits need to be received here at least 2 weeks before the course date.
