Search Engine Optimisation used to be a mystery to me. What did it mean and why did it matter? In fact it's a simple concept, get to the top of Google's natural search results! This is where most people click and therefore most traffic goes to the websites at the top of the list.

There are different ways of optimising your website for search engine results. Basically your website needs to be relevant and popular! Google reads text, so you need to use keywords effectively and it records links to your site, so you need other sites linking to you.

The new .co domain...

The new and highly anticipated .co domain is due for release in 3 stages over the next few months. Originally set up for registered companies in Colombia, it is now being marketed it as a top level domain to rival .com.

The three stages are: Sunrise - Trademark holders only, Landrush - Open to public at Premium costs and General Availability - Open to public at Standard costs.

It is reported that Google.co receives 15,000 hits every day. Therefore it is vital companies pre-order their .co domains names now, to protect their brand identity and prevent loss of traffic to other sites using their domain name.
